How Much Does a Roofing Appointment Cost? The Math Behind the Price

The short answer

Vendors publish prices for a booked roofing appointment from about $110 to about $400, depending on the vendor, how strictly the homeowner is qualified, and whether the appointment is shared. The number that decides whether it is a good deal is cost per signed job: cost per appointment divided by your close rate, compared with what a job earns you.

Starweb's price

Block model

$350 per appointment on the block model, where we run the ads.

That covers:

  • Appointments never shared or resold
  • The five-point qualification standard (see it)
  • Confirmed before the visit
  • No-shows and unqualified appointments replaced and not counted
  • Prepaid blocks, no retainer, no long-term contract

On the account model, ads run on your own account at cost and the per-appointment fee is lower. That fee is quoted on a call.

Published prices

Prices below are what each vendor posts on its own site. They are not market averages and they change.

Published roofing appointment prices by vendor
VendorPublished price
Peak Marketing Service$110 to $150 per appointment
Lead Engine Sales and MarketingAbout $167 per shown inspection at the residential floor ($1,000 per week, 6 shown)
RainyLeadsFrom $180 per booked appointment
The Lead Giants$175 to $200 per appointment, tiered by volume
Minyona$200 to $400 per booked appointment, plus a setup fee
Starweb Digital$350 per appointment, block model

The spread is wide because the units differ. A booked appointment, a shown inspection and a phone-confirmed appointment are three different products.

What moves the price

Market. Ads cost more in a competitive metro.
Ticket size. A bigger average job can carry a higher price per appointment.
Qualification. More checks cost more to deliver. See the vetting checklist.
Show rate. If no-shows are not replaced, your real cost per visit is the price divided by your show rate.
Close rate. Yours, not the vendor's. It decides everything below.

The math

Cost per signed job = cost per appointment ÷ close rate.

Cost per signed job$1,400

At $350 and a 25% close rate: $350 ÷ 0.25 = $1,400 per signed job.

Now compare $1,400 with the profit you make on an average job. If it leaves a margin you are happy with, the price works. If not, no price will.

Track your own close rate: jobs sold divided by estimates run. Two published ranges to check against: 20 to 30% for paid digital and inbound call leads (SubcontractorHub), and about 27% for the largest US roofing companies, attributed to RoofLink. They are not promises and not Starweb's numbers.
